    • The summer is coming to a close, and the Nor'easters are gearing up for the start of another semester! And with the start of the fall semester, comes auditions for new members! Auditions for the Nor'easters will be September 12th, throughout the day, approximately every 10 minutes. The audition consists of a brief solo, a capella of course, and then some ear training exercises as well as some scales. Call-backs on the following Sunday, September 13th. The exact call-back times will be determined as the date gets closer, but will likely begin at noon and last for 3-4 hours. During call-backs, we will help you learn a short section to one of our songs, depending upon your vocal part, and then we'll place you with other members of the group to hear how fast you pick up the part as well as your ability to blend! Final decisions will be made by the group following call-backs.

If you're intersted in signing-up for an audition, or would like some more information, please email us at nu_noreasters@yahoo.com

Here are some frequently asked questions:
      • Q: How many spots are available for new members?
A: Our group typically consists of around 16 members. However, we do not set limits as to how many new members we will accept until after auditions and call-backs are finished. Over the years, our group has had as many as 19 people and as little as 13 people, so we never really know how many new member we're looking for!
      • Q: What should I sing for my audition?
A: We suggest that you choose a song that you are comfortable singing and that showcases your vocal abilities. Try to pick a song that is slightly challenging, but within your range, and that really shows off that beautiful voice! It's like they sa on American Idol: "It's all about the song choice."
      • Q: How do I know if I make it to call-backs?
A: We will send out our decisions, regarding who we would like to invite to call-backs, a few hours after all auditions have been completed.
      • Q: Do I need to prepare anything for call-backs?
A: Nope! During call-backs, we will be teaching you a short section of one of our songs. All sheet music and learing materials will be provided to you by us. All you'll need to bring is yourself, a bottle of water, and your beautiful voice of course!
